dammit I forgot about this one quest I never get right with Kofu[censor]ko, where one nopon suggests using rare ingredients but Kofu[censor]ko just wants cheap shit and you get a vision of the disaster that causes

so yeah that quest has two options, give the good stuff or the easily found stuff.......... problem is, you'll likely have enough of the easily found stuff already so the quest auto-completes that part right away and you're stuck poisoning the village

Oh, guess what I discovered. If you don't have the four grapes when you get the quest, but collect them later, the quest log progresses automatically and cuts you out of the other option, even though you haven't "given" them to [that Nopon] yet. You can't even get rid of them afterwards, because they're already removed from your inventory.

They REALLY didn't want you to complete this quest right, huh?

It's great that the fast travel system is so quick but Shulk and company need to move at least twice as fast in my opinion. A turbo mode for movement would be a godsend

Every time I play this I miss the running from Xenoblade X so much...

Who was the person who thought Quick Step jewels were a good idea? I have to sacrifice some ability slots just to have the luxury of moving not as much faster as I would like (it caps at 25%). And it makes not want to experiment with playing different characters because I don't want to switch the jewels around.

The Blaze damage is dependent on how high the base damage of the Discharge attack is, so having higher Ether should affect it.

Does dubbed Japanese media count? Because they often have a lot less attention payed to them than locally produced stuff and you can tell when they actors are phoning it in.

God, I don't even know how many of a certain game I've owned counting collections and sales and free giveaways. The Final Fantasy games are getting up there to the point I've stopped keeping track.

Being able to play this handheld is a godsend. I don't think I would have been able to put in as much time in it otherwise.

The awful resolution in that mode really hurts though. I don't normally care about graphics that much, most of the time I don't even really notice, but you can really see the difference in Xenoblade compared to playing on a tv. Or hell, just comparing it to playing Animal Crossing on handheld...

The "danger" battle music that plays if your team gets in trouble will go away if you bring your tension back up, but I don't remember if the vision breaking theme does too. I haven't seen it happen yet.

I literally played Avalon for the first time last night on https://netgames.io/

...I didn't go well. One of the bad guys just could not really understand the rules for some reason and simply always voted for the mission to succeed, so the good guys immediately cleared the first three to win. Then the assassin randomly chose Merlin by luck. I don't think it's possible to have a worse round. I'm sure it gets better I guess.

I like keeping the arranged soundtrack on when I first visit areas and go through the story since it's new, and switching to the original while I'm completing sidequests.

The best way is to have them in your party. You can get a lot of affinity points if they're with you when seeing quest dialogue, and helping them recover in battle. Otherwise just spam them with presents.

Anyone else have a weird issue where Unique Enemies just kinda... stop attacking for a while? It looks like they get stuck on the geometry or something and just loiter around for like minute not doing anything while you wail on them. It's happened more than once. I can't remember if that happened in the original version. (Actually, to be honest, I always had a hard time noticing anything happening in battle with all the stuff on the screen and trying to rapidly select arts...)

Put in a solid eight hours yesterday night and definitely noticed/appreciated the QoL improvements. I've completed 53 side quests in those eight hours - there's no way I could maintain that kind of pace on the Wii.

I remember spending forever trying to find that one guy in Colony 9 that only appears at like between 2 and 4am or whatever, and it's soooo helpful to have that thing that tells you whether or not an NPC is available

Oh yeah. I turned on Expert mode the moment I started the game.

The interesting thing is you still gain sidequest exp in Expert Mode, it's just not automatically assigned. If you feel like you're having trouble you can just dole it out to your characters from whatever you've stored up. So I would highly recommend players use it even if you don't feel like you'll want much more difficulty in the game, because it shouldn't make much of a difference aside from preventing you from accidentally overleveling too much just because you wanted to explore everything.

For some reason I am completely unable to hear two specific friends of mine in a voice channel on a Discord server. They can talk to each other, and they can hear me, but I can't hear them at all. They're not muted or blocked, and their volume level is normal. My sound works fine otherwise, and I don't have this problem with anyone else or anywhere else. I was able to do a person-to-person Discord call with one of them just fine, and I have no problems with people in voice channels on other servers. My audio equipment and settings are fine. I don't have audio problems anywhere else, even on Discord, just in this specific situation. I've tried making a brand new server to see if it would fix the issue, but no dice.

Googling this problem doesn't help at all, since no matter what I enter every result is just some variation of "how to fix not being to hear anybody on Discord" and bringing up standard mic issues. I can't find anything about this specific problem, and it's just so baffling to me that it only seems to affect these specific people in this one way. Has this happened to anyone else before? Any advice?
